Seeing and Believing a Nuclear Iran: The Power of Visualization

I have been advised by many--colleagues, friends, counselors, authors, family and others--that there is some truth to visualization. Visualizing is the prelude to manifestation. No matter what the present truths and realities may dictate, if you believe hard enough, a visualization can become a reality. The church mother always told me to "be careful what you pray for" when I mused about wanting stuff, like a house, a family, a education, etc. Believe it or not, when I am able to visualize and to focus many of my desires have been fulfilled--good or bad. This brings us to group- visualization. This is where the international community (mainly the Western powers and, of course, Israel) is visualizing Iran creating a nuclear bomb.

While Iran has been steadfast in disputing the international community's atomic bomb visualizations for its country by declaring over and over that it will use its nuclear power for peaceful purposes. However, the power of group-visualization seems to be set in stone. Like, no matter that Iraq didn't possess weapons of mass destruction, Bush and his neo-conservative warlords use of tunnel vision precluded any different outcome. Visualization was so strong that even today many Americans still cling to this fraud manifestation.

Even as Brazil and Turkey huddled with a "defiant" Iran to come up with a spectacular alternative to punishing sanctions, the international community led by the US did not and can not visualize anything except the nuclear bomb--thus a new round of sanctions.

The new sanctions authorize countries to inspect cargo to and from Iran;
strengthen an arms embargo by banning transfers of more types of conventional
arms and missiles; expand restrictions on Iran's access to nuclear technology;
add more institutions to a financial sanctions watch list and urge "vigilance"
in doing business with any organization linked to Iran's Revolutionary Guard
.

And, the President remains adamant.

President Barack Obama said the sanctions send "an unmistakable message about the international community's commitment to stopping the spread of nuclear weapons.

For argument sake, likes just say that Iran decides to develop a nuclear bomb. It shouldn't be a surprise, should it? (Be careful what you pray for). No matter their good intentions, visualization of an international community can turn out to be the deciding end play. As a student and believer myself of the power of thoughts and how e think can be as powerful as our physical effort, we may have evolved to a deadly came of 'cause and effect'.

I don't know about you, but I prefer not to visualize evil. This is not to say scientific research and genuine prognostication should be thrown out of the window, but whoever said that voodoo was a science. Yet, as a nation, we are reminded of how one of our greatest social justice activist, Dr. Martin Luther King, once visualized on how we can all become a world of peace. Today that dream still remains unmet. So as we collectively visualize the worst scenario concerning Iran we should be just as vigilant in a just cause of peace! If we are able to start hoping for the victory of international peace, we are well on our way for fulfilling an unmet prophecy.

I have a dream
today.

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be
exhalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be
made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the
Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.
This is our
hope. This is the faith that I will go back to the South with. With this faith
we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this
faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a
beautiful symphony of brotherhood.
With this faith we will be able to work
together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to
stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day.
This
will be the day when all of God's children will be able to sing with new
meaning, "My country 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing. Land
where my fathers died, land of the Pilgrims' pride, from every mountainside, let
freedom ring."
And if America is to be a great nation, this must become
true. So let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire. Let
freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York. Let freedom ring from the
heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania.
Let freedom ring from the
snow-capped Rockies of Colorado. Let freedom ring from the curvaceous slopes of
California. But not only that; let freedom ring from the Stone Mountain of
Georgia. Let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee.
Let freedom
ring from every hill and molehill of Mississippi. From every mountainside, let
freedom ring.

And when this happens, and when we allow
freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from
every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of
God's children, black men and white men, Jews and gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, "Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!"
