New Year with same old issues

It may be a bit taboo to suggest that bringing in the New Year is an annual festivity marking the transition from the previous year.  Most celebrations are habitual, if not reflexive, as most Americans are programmed to just participate in seemingly superficial rituals that often fail to recognize how the world has fully shifted.

Based on the law of 'cause and effect' the shift just didn't start in 2011, but the shift has been going on for a awhile now.  Sure, why each has it's unique happening, like 2011 finding over 14 million people unemployed--and, staying unemployed or the colonial West soundly manifesting its colonial inclinations while toppling sovereign, weaker nations events like these make 2011 a very significant year.  Let's not forget the Middle East uprisings and the increased saber rattling that finds Israel consolidating its position of being on the ready to destroy anything that is interpreted as a threat to its apartheid state of affairs.  And, it then just happen overnight, but the media has made it official that the rich is indeed getting richer

We've blown it big-time, and, it did not just start in 2011.

and the poor poorer where the Middle Class has been decimated, and the elected has become more blatant in their preference for the rich and where corporations are really in charge.  Oh, there is no such thing as human rights and privacy.

Too say the least, 2011 was a very eventful year.  But, the issue is not whether it was or not, but how did it ever come to be such a disaster in the first place?  This is where the systemic nature of unsolved problems appear.  While 2011 was a significant year, the many years before 2011 have been a carry-over of unfinished business.  Can you imagine that after hundred of years, racism is still a problem in America (and the world)? Because the problem has never really been fixed over all these years, what people really get, year after year, is a metamorphism of unjust actions that will one day inevitably implode, uncovering centuries of trickery, lying, conniving, stalling, confusing, fooling, and, pretty much the building of a monster that I would call distortion. So this is where we are.  Nothing is as it appears.  Just about everything is a distorted substitute for the natural evolution of man and his activity on an earth, here where God has given him dominion to rule and to reflect God's love in all that is.

We've blown it big-time, and, it did not just start in 2011.

It's really a simply clear observation. Why are children still starving?  Why are nations still threatening other nations?  Why are people being killed and casually marked as collateral damage?  Why do the same barriers remain steadfast, ones that prevent all people from achieving their God given potential?  Why is it o hard to get medical care?  How have sports become an escape whether than a form of innocent entertainment? Why are cities riddled with crime?  Why are laws being passed that reflect fascism?  Why are certain people being given a free ride?  Why is it so hard to help others who because of centuries of oppression need help?  Why is money the ruler of all things?  Why has fighting for civil rights become unpatriotic?  Why are people selling out their friends, families, community and cultures for greed?

These are all part of many unanswered questions and unsolved mysteries that will persist as they have for centuries even as millions revel and cheer as 2013 and years thereafter (forget about 2012) roll in.
