Who wants to be persecuted? Speaking the Truth in Illinois may be asking for it

"They’ve been in position to improve the Black community for decades but have done little to solve problems like gun violence and high unemployment that plague Chicago," added the longtime activist and former director of CeaseFire Illinois.

 Well the man may be on to something.  Of course, I confidently predict that he'll become a 'modern day' martyr for speaking an arguably unassailable truth.  I'm just wondering whether he will be okay with that, or will he dubious to this reality as one of the greatest dichotomies in the Christian world today (and in my opinion) differentiating between 'actual persecution' vs. 'selective persecution'.  Most of us would prefer the latter, especially when it can be construed as being able to least affect out ideals about success in this world. What would Jesus do?

 Well that last question may be the reactionary to the point that even Christian music can be used as a distorted tool for so called 'selective persecution'.  One would think think (according to most lyrics ad sound) that most Christians have opted for 'actual persecution', but even as the music speaks volumes to overcoming the world can you imagine Jesus actually calling out those whose musical testimony doesn't add up?

 At the same time, like the aforementioned provocation made many have actually be persecuted for not totally buying in to the sound and fury of the beautiful and  bold sounds flowing from the choirs - not even sinners.

 So, Mr. Hardiman's statements may be unprecedented in a sense (right or wrong), but the main thing is that he is aware of the depth and breath of the words spoken in a world where truth can be detrimental to your health?  And, yes, people (Christians) are being persecuted today because of truths like these.

"Being Different" IS NO WALK IN THE PARK. I reckon it depends on many factors, i.e., whether or not you will be received for being different or rejected for being different. In our society, today we celebrate diversity. Today, people are expected not to be prejudice or hurtful to another who might not be like them or might not belong to the same tribe as them. The Colonial Fix: What group can help me?

Every since the reported first European colony hit the America shores in the 1400's, I have yet to read about the saving dynamic of colonial life.  Sure, we hear about how countries colonize the land of other countries and how they force their culture on the natives once they are in complete control.  We also heard of the Monroe Doctrine of 1823 and the Manifest Destiny in 1545.   The latter proclaims that it is only its colony's right to spread their values and cultures on others, free or bonded and the former declares how the colony must claim as much as it can of other people's colonies. Society has been proliferated with data coming from research that examines the real status of Americans.  But, no matter how profound and informative the data may be, humans have what one would call a 'selective perception' opting to believe a lie before the truth. It had been over several years since I started the case of discrimination against my corporate employer.  The fight started at the workplace and worked itself up to the EEOC, before making the final move to sue in court.  All of the administrative remedies have been exhausted, and my employer was determined to use every deflection tools necessary in order to strain me and my supporters of the will to fight.
